 Potty Training
Your child is ready to POTTY TRAIN! We all know this is a stressfull period, but we have what you need to make this transistional period easier for you and your toddler. We have potty training books, potty chairs, potty seats and training pants to make lifes little "training" moments easier. Potty training can be a challenge, toddlers aren't always the easiest to manipulate but with the right potty training accessory your toddler will be well on their way to BIG boy/girl underwear!

Potty Training Basics:

1. Wait until your child is ready. DO NOT try to

potty train your child to early.

2. When you make the decision to potty train,

do not go back and forth between diapers and

underwear. This confuses children. This is not

a time to confuse them anymore than they

    already are.

3. Pull-ups are NOT a good way to potty train.

Pull-ups do not feel much different from a

diaper. This makes it difficult when they are

    first learning to potty train,

4. Potty training takes time, this will not happen

overnight. This process can be just as

mind-boggling to our toddler as it is to you.

They are going through many different

    emotions as well.

5. ACCIDENTS do happen! This is very important

to remember. Keep plenty of clothes on hand.

Your toddler needs your support and

    encouragement.

The time has come to potty train your child. Do you know how to tell if the time is right? Do you know where to start? Potty training can be easy and fun! That's right, fun. Take a deep breathe and get ready for a few surprises. Let your child pick their BIG boy/girl underwear, this helps them think they are making their own decisions. Decide whether or not you would like to buy a potty chair or a potty seat. If you decide to buy a potty seat you may need to buy a foot stool for your child to be able to get up and down from the potty all by themselves. This is a crucial time for them to feel independent. You may also want to decide on a reward system. Stickers, gummy bears, stamps, etc. If your child attends daycare, you may want to keep this in mind when choosing a reward system. This way your daycare can use the same system as to not confuse your child. Thsis is a very BIG transistional period. Accidents happen, so keep clothes and shoes on hand. Be positive and supportive an hang in there. You're on your way to diaper freedom!
