Nobody will argue that a clothes dryer is a wonderful convenience, especially in winter or on rainy days. But we're hard pressed to come up with something that smells more glorious than fresh laundry dried in the sun and breeze. And free drying power can't be beat.
This Lehigh line dryer is one of the best we've ever seen: It's compact, yet it has 197 feet of line drying space - enough for four loads of laundry - and the line tension is adjustable, perfect for hanging out heavy quilts. The drying height can be adjusted easily, too, which is good news if you live your life under 5'4" or so.
Installation is straightforward: Dig a hole, place the sleeve, pour in a little concrete. That's it. When you're ready to hang laundry, just slip the pole into the sleeve and open it up. The drying unit is aluminum, making it light enough for anyone to lift and carry it, so bringing it inside after laundry day is no burden at all.
We like the way the lines are cantilevered, getting more hanging room in smaller square footage. There's no assembly aside from setting the sleeve in the ground, either. If you're looking to save a little green and go a little green, this is a great way to do it.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Customer Reviews
Lehigh parallel dryer
I love this dryer which i immediately put outside. It is well made, easy to put up and down and the lines do not get caught while adjusting height.
I am very surprised. I had bought a previous one that cost lots more with expensive shipping and that one collapsed in 2 yrs and was difficult to adjust.
I highly recommend this dryer. It ought to be taken in for winter tho. Thks Amazon......shrani from Vermont
Just what I had in mind
Sturdy clothes dryer, easy installation. I used quik crete to cement the sleeve in the ground, then the pole just slides right into the sleeve. This way you can take it inside for winter storage. The dryer holds two large loads of clothes easily. I am very pleased with this item.
Poorly packaged & very thin guage metal
This item was poorly packaged for shipping. It was just stuck in a plastic bag with no padding and arrived with a plastic bracket broken off. The responsibility for the damage was the vendor/packer not the carrier. After being in service for a month, the support pole folded over (about 2 feet above ground level) in a moderate wind gust. I had to break the bottom part of the support pole off as it would no longer stand upright. It can still be used but the line height now ranges from 3 to 4 feet above ground level. All and all, not very good value. I should have returned the damaged product when first received, but did not want the hassle or expense.
